TheQuizMaster is a B2B software-as-a-service platform that enables companies ("Clients") to create technical coding assessments, invite developer candidates, execute code in a sandboxed environment, and review scored results. The platform is operated by TheQuizMaster SAS, accessible at app.thequizmaster.io.
The service includes: - Assessment creation and management tools - Candidate invitation and tracking via unique access tokens - Sandboxed code execution across 14 programming languages (powered by JDoodle) - Candidate scoring, analytics, and results dashboards - Team collaboration features with role-based access (admin, member, viewer) - Billing and subscription management via Stripe
The platform is available to companies and organizations only. By creating an account, you represent that: - You are acting on behalf of a legal entity with authority to bind it to these terms - All registration information is accurate and up to date - You will maintain the security of your account credentials
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at team@thequizmaster.io if you suspect unauthorized access. One account per company. Accounts are non-transferable.
As a Client, you agree to:
Use the platform lawfully — you may not use TheQuizMaster to discriminate based on protected characteristics, send assessments without a legitimate hiring purpose, or circumvent usage limits.
Obtain proper consent from candidates before sending assessments. You are the data controller for candidate personal data. You must maintain a lawful basis (such as legitimate interest in the hiring process) under GDPR for processing candidate data.
Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the platform, its API, or any third-party services it depends on.
Keep your account credentials confidential and inform your team members of these obligations.
Provide accurate billing information and pay all applicable fees on time.
When you invite candidates to assessments, TheQuizMaster processes their personal data (email address, assessment responses, code submissions, scores, timestamps) on your behalf as a data processor under Article 28 of the GDPR.
Your obligations: - You remain the data controller for candidate data you introduce into the platform - You are responsible for providing candidates with appropriate privacy notices - You must not retain candidate data longer than necessary for your hiring process - You must respond to candidate data subject requests (access, erasure, portability) within the timeframes required by applicable law
Our obligations: - We process candidate data only on your documented instructions - We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures - We will not share candidate data with third parties except as required to operate the service (see our Privacy Policy for sub-processors) - We will notify you without undue delay of any personal data breach affecting candidate data - We will assist you in fulfilling data subject requests
Assessment results and candidate data are stored in Google Cloud Firestore in the europe-west1 region (Belgium), in compliance with EU data residency requirements.
TheQuizMaster offers subscription plans billed monthly or annually via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
Plan limits (assessments sent, team members, active assessments) are defined per plan. Exceeding limits requires a plan upgrade.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods unless required by applicable law.
Price changes: We will notify you at least 30 days before changing subscription prices. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Failed payments: If a payment fails, we will retry and notify you by email. Accounts with unresolved payment failures may be suspended after 7 days.
TheQuizMaster retains all rights to the platform, its code, design, assessment templates, and underlying technology. Nothing in these terms grants you ownership of any part of the service.
Your content: You retain ownership of assessments you create and candidate data you introduce. You grant TheQuizMaster a limited license to process this content solely to provide the service.
Restrictions: You may not copy, modify, resell, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without express written permission.
The service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by applicable law:
TheQuizMaster makes no warranty that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that assessment results will predict future job performance. Technical assessments are one signal among many.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including loss of revenue, data, or business opportunity.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Either party may terminate the agreement at any time with written notice.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay fees, or use the platform in a way that creates legal risk for us or third parties.
On termination: your access to the platform ends. We will retain your data for 90 days in case you need to export it, then delete it permanently. You may request immediate deletion by emailing team@thequizmaster.io.
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.
If you are a consumer (which is unlikely given this is a B2B service), mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence may also apply.
